A Week in the Day of a Writer

I think being a writer is a lot like my old profession, being a firefighter. Things plug along forever; an unending plodding toward a hope to make a difference. Then, all of a sudden, you find yourself up to your ears in chaos, trying to keep your nose above water. Editors pull you and encourage you to hone your story; you're trying to hawk your self-published work; and then there's life itself that has no particular regard for your professional priorities. This could drive a man to get old, but I love it! Hope all of you have a great weekend!
